Brian Cox Joins ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 as New York Ripper

Filmogaz.com has learned that Brian Cox is joining the second season of Dexter: Resurrection on Paramount+. He will portray Dom Framt, better known as the New York Ripper.

Character and season setup

Framt was introduced in Season 1 but never appeared on screen. He is described as a serial killer who terrorized the city years ago.

Though no longer active, the character now finds ways to prolong his infamy. He continues to taunt survivors of his earlier murder spree.

In Season 1, Dexter, played by Michael C. Hall, and Det. Claudette Wallace, played by Kadia Saraf, discovered a file on Framt. That file was found in the vault of Leon Prater, portrayed by Peter Dinklage. The discovery sets up a major role for the character in Season 2.
