Massive Kings Norton Fire Erupts, Smoke Visible Across Birmingham
A large scrapyard blaze broke out on Lifford Lane in Kings Norton, Birmingham. Fire crews were called at shortly after 10.30am on Wednesday, 1 April.
Emergency response
West Midlands Fire Service confirmed attendance at the scene. Crews describe a significant inferno that produced a wide smoke plume.
Eleven fire engines are deployed. A hydraulic aerial platform and a 4×4 brigade response vehicle are also on site.
