National Highways has moved into the next phase of a £250m project to widen the A47 between North Tuddenham and Easton. Contractors will carry out preparatory works on the carriageway between Fox Lane and the Easton roundabout.
Roadworks schedule and scope

- The programme covers the stretch from Fox Lane to the Easton roundabout.
- One lane will be closed in places to allow safe working.
- Temporary traffic lights will control vehicle movement through the work zone.

Live AA traffic mapping showed congestion building in both directions on Saturday afternoon. Motorists reported significant delays and said they were “fed up”.
Lane Closures and the presence of temporary signals have pushed journey times higher. Local updates warned that Traffic Lights Cause Delays for A47 Motorists while the works continue.
