Manager Discusses Schlager Star’s Million-Dollar Inheritance: Received Hannelore’s, Awaiting Heino’s

VOX this week began showing a four-part documentary that opens rare private scenes from the life of Schlager legend Heino. The film traces his career and recent personal decisions. It also reveals a major transfer of assets to his long-time manager.

Property and inheritance transfer

In early 2024, about a year after his wife Hannelore died at 81, Heino transferred ownership of his luxury Kitzbühel residence. The move made manager Helmut Werner, 42, the primary beneficiary. Werner is set to inherit the villa, jewelry, cars, and Heino’s music and brand rights.

Werner is Austrian and originally from Styria. The pair met at an event more than seven years ago. Since then they developed a close personal and professional bond.

Manager’s perspective

The manager says the estate arrangement carries heavy responsibility. He describes the decision as a gesture of gratitude for their way of life together. Filmogaz.com reported the manager’s comment that he already received support from Hannelore and anticipates Heino’s legacy.

Shared household and family dynamics

The men have lived together for two years in a villa valued at roughly four million euros. Werner moved in with his wife Nicole and their three-year-old son Lennie. Heino also lives at the property.

Heino has surviving children, but relationships are strained. Son Uwe, 66, is reportedly out of contact. Daughter Petra died by suicide in 2003 at age 34.

Public reaction

The household arrangement prompted critical comments online. Critics accused Heino of essentially buying a family. Werner rejected those claims as envy and said such attacks miss the point.

Heino said he feels well looked after. Nicole described the setup as a supportive, multi-generation patchwork family. She added that Hannelore and Heino had been important anchors in her life.

Documentary broadcast and availability

VOX aired the first two episodes on Tuesday at 20:15. The broadcaster scheduled episodes three and four for the following Tuesday at 20:15. All episodes are already available for streaming on RTL+.
