Arc Raiders Unveils New Vaporizer Enemy and Crafting Updates in Flashpoint

Embark Studios has released details for the Flashpoint update arriving March 31. The patch will reach PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S players. Filmogaz.com reviewed the studio’s blog breakdown to summarize the changes.

New Arc and enemy changes

The update adds the Vaporizer enemy as a new Arc unit. The Vaporizer is a drone-like foe that fires lasers and favors group tactics. It joins the game as the latest aerial threat after February’s additions.

Separately, the Shredder will appear in more locations. This shotgun-burst Arc has roamed Stella Montis since late last year. From tomorrow, players may encounter it in Blue Gate, Buried City, Spaceport, and sometimes Dam Battlegrounds.

Map condition: Close Scrutiny

Flashpoint introduces a new map condition called Close Scrutiny. The mode creates high-risk, high-reward conflicts over loot. Players will contest rare components dropped by the heavily guarded Arc Assessor.

Weapons, deployables, and projects

Two new weapons arrive with the update. The Dolabra Energy Shotgun joins the arsenal. The Canto submachine gun is also available.

Players get a new deployable called the Surge Coil. It periodically electrifies nearby ground to protect squads. The High-Gain Antenna Player Project is another addition. It offers a fresh way to earn rewards.

Quality-of-life and gameplay changes

Flashpoint includes new quests and gameplay adjustments. Store bundles update alongside those changes. Embark has continued to tweak the experience with each monthly drop.

One notable tweak affects Scrappy. Players can now feed Scrappy specific items for targeted resource gathering. The crafting system is also streamlined. This should reduce downtime between Raids.

Cosmetics and bundles

The Wasp Hunter cosmetic set debuts in Flashpoint. The $20 bundle includes the Wasp Hunter outfit with four color variants. It also contains an Oxygen Tank backpack, a helmet for Scrappy, a new Raider Tool, and 2400 Raider Tokens.

Three additional packs will arrive in April. The Brigade, Vanguard, and Nascosto sets will launch at unspecified dates next month.

Roadmap context

Flashpoint is the third of four major expansions planned this roadmap cycle. Headwinds arrived in January and Shrouded Sky landed in February. The final expansion, Riven Tides, is scheduled for April.

Riven Tides may add a new map, a larger Arc threat, another map condition, and an expedition window. Players who have followed updates since Arc Raiders’ October 31, 2025 launch will recognize the steady cadence.

Fans looking for specifics on the Vaporizer enemy and the crafting updates will find them in Flashpoint. The patch balances new threats with practical improvements to play and loot systems.
