Land Artist to Host 200-Person Table at 2026 Coachella Festival

Land artist Jim Denevan will bring his Outstanding in the Field dinner series to the 2026 Coachella Festival. The pop-up will run each night of both festival weekends, beginning Friday, April 10, 2026.

Event format and location

The dinners take place in the VIP Rose Garden overlooking the festival grounds. Guests will dine at the series’ signature winding table set for 200 people.

Each seating is family-style and includes a welcome cocktail and a four-course meal. Access to the VIP Rose Garden is part of the ticket package.

Culinary lineup

The program features award-winning and celebrated chefs from varied culinary backgrounds. Menus highlight regional produce sourced from nearby family farms.

Weekend one (beginning April 10)

  • James Beard award-winning chef Michael Beckman opens with dishes focused on local produce.
  • Los Angeles chef Alan Sanz follows with contemporary Oaxacan preparations.
  • Chef Jonathan Harris closes the first weekend with a menu inspired by Costa Rican and African American roots.

Weekend two (beginning April 17)

  • Charles Namba kicks off the second weekend. He is an alum of EN Japanese Brasserie and Chanterelle and later opened OTOTO in Los Angeles.
  • Chefs Donnie Masterton and Christian Herrera collaborate on a comfort-food-and-Baja-inspired meal on Saturday.
  • Nico de Leon serves the final Sunday with dishes that blend Filipino and Angeleno influences.

Sustainability and sourcing

Chefs will draw from a network of local family farms. The approach reflects Denevan’s focus on responsible land stewardship.

Tickets and access

Festival passes and advance reservations are required for each dinner. Tickets are available through AXS and include the welcome cocktail, the four-course family-style dinner, and VIP Rose Garden access.

Visitors who arrive for music may stay for the culinary program. Filmogaz.com will continue coverage of pop-up dining events during the festival.
