Setting and plot

Sheridan’s character arrives recently widowed and intent on a fresh start. She hopes to reconnect with her sister and to rebuild trust with her twenty-year-old daughter.
Izzie is assigned to a murder investigation alongside Matt, a homicide detective from Perth. The victim has ties to a notorious local crime family led by the formidable Mrs Baxter.
Before she formally joins the case, one reckless night leads to a split-second decision. That moment triggers consequences Izzie must hide to protect herself and others.
