Cats Revival Unveils Complete Cast List
The open-air production at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced its cast for summer performances. The staging will run from 25 July to 12 September, with press night on 6 August.
Production overview
Andrew Lloyd Webber composed the score. The show is based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. It first opened in London in 1981 and on Broadway in 1982.
The plot follows the Jellicle Cats at the Jellicle Ball. One cat is chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn. A film adaptation was released in 2019.
