Battlehawks’ Chamblin, Feeney, and Proehl Discuss Strategies Ahead of Week 1

Week one of the UFL opens with a marquee matchup in St. Louis. The Battlehawks host the D.C. Defenders in a rivalry game many around the league will watch.

Ticket surge and kickoff details

UFL owner Mike Repole said Thursday the St. Louis game has sold more than 31,500 tickets. A few days remain for buyers to purchase tickets online or at the stadium box office.

The season opener is Saturday at 11 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. A pregame “battle march” is set for 8 a.m.

Defensive vision from Chamblin

Defensive coordinator Corey Chamblin spoke with media on Tuesday. He praised the talent on his roster and outlined his expectations.

Chamblin singled out Pita Taumoepenu as a game-changing presence. He said Taumoepenu has a relentless motor and is difficult to block.
