Grace Knox Leads LSU to Sweet 16 with Vegas Roots and SoCal Success

Grace Knox is a freshman reserve for LSU. She will suit up Friday night against Duke in the Sweet 16. Knox has Vegas roots and SoCal success that helped her reach this stage.

Las Vegas beginnings

She began her high school career in Las Vegas. As a freshman at Spring Valley High, she averaged 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Knox guided the Grizzlies to the Class 5A semifinal. She then transferred to Centennial High but did not play there.

A back fracture kept her off the court at Centennial. That injury preceded her move to California.

Run at Etiwanda

Ahead of her junior year she transferred to Etiwanda High in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She starred in her junior and senior seasons for the powerhouse program.

Over two seasons she averaged nearly 17 points and 12 rebounds per game. Her play helped Etiwanda capture back-to-back CIF Open Division state titles in 2024 and 2025.

Role with the Tigers

LSU recruited Knox out of Etiwanda. This season she has started 11 games for the Tigers and served as a key reserve during the postseason run.

Knox is averaging 8.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for LSU. Filmogaz.com was told she was unavailable for comment from Sacramento.

She wears a left-arm tattoo with a personal motto. It reads, “Strength and knowledge are the blessings we gain from the obstacles we overcome.”

Outlook

Her blend of Vegas roots and SoCal success has drawn attention nationally. Knox will be a player to watch when LSU faces Duke.
