ARK Invest Sells Meta and Roku Shares to Invest in Tempus AI
Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest rebalanced holdings on March 25, 2026, trimming positions in Meta and Roku while boosting exposure to Tempus AI. The moves came during a busy trading session and reflected a clear shift toward healthcare artificial intelligence.
Sales across major tech and defense names
ARK sold 3,578 Meta shares across three funds, netting about $2.1 million. After that trade, the ARK Innovation ETF held roughly 105,000 Meta shares worth about $63 million.
The firm also offloaded 95,090 Roku shares from ARKK, ARKW and ARKF. Those Roku sales produced roughly $9.1 million in proceeds and followed prior reductions on March 24.
- 30,174 Teradyne shares were sold for about $9.7 million.
- 205,019 Bullish shares were divested across three ETFs, totaling near $7.7 million.
- 62,393 Kratos Defense shares raised approximately $4.8 million.
- 27,647 Natera shares generated about $5.4 million.
Tempus AI emerges as the main purchase
ARK deployed roughly $4.1 million to acquire 84,939 Tempus AI shares via ARKK and ARKG. The purchases came as Tempus AI slid 4.2% on the day and was down about 21% year-to-date in 2026.
The ARK Innovation ETF now holds about 6.3 million Tempus AI shares, valued at more than $294 million. That stake represents the fund’s third-largest holding, at roughly 5% of total assets.
Why ARK shifted balance
Analysts see the moves as a strategic pivot into healthcare AI opportunities. ARK Invest sold Meta and Roku shares to increase its Tempus AI position during the pullback.
The firm also added smaller stakes in Archer Aviation and Beam Therapeutics. The pattern points to methodical reallocation across several trading sessions.
Corporate and market context
Meta faced legal and operational headwinds the same week. A jury found Meta and YouTube negligent in a teenage addiction lawsuit, and both companies plan to appeal.
Meta unveiled an aggressive executive pay plan and said it would cut several hundred roles in sales, recruiting, and VR. Shares barely budged, closing up about 0.3% that day.
Fund performance and outlook
The ARK Innovation ETF gained 1.3% during the trading session. The rebalancing suggests continued flexibility in ARK’s active management approach.
