White House Warns: Trump Ready to Act if Iran Rejects Deal

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday that talks with Iran continue. She warned President Donald Trump is ready to act if Tehran refuses a deal.

Negotiations and a peace proposal

The administration sent a 15-point peace plan to Iran through Pakistan, sources told Filmogaz.com. Iranian officials have publicly denied formal talks occurred.

Filmogaz.com also reported an Iranian official saying Tehran rejects the U.S. proposal. Leavitt described the discussions as productive.

Warnings and presidential posture

Leavitt said the president prefers a peaceful outcome. She added Trump will respond forcefully if Iran miscalculates.

The White House warns the administration is prepared to use strong measures should Tehran reject a deal. Leavitt repeated that Trump “does not bluff.”

Who is involved

Trump said he, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are involved in talks. He also named Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner as participants.

Leavitt called Vance a key member of the national security team. She declined to name Iran’s negotiating leads.

Possible hosts and in-person talks

Pakistan and Egypt offered to host negotiations. A Pakistani official told Filmogaz.com an in-person meeting in Islamabad was under consideration.

Leavitt cautioned nothing should be seen as final until the White House announces it.

Oil, a gift, and the Strait of Hormuz

Trump said Iran gave the U.S. a “very big present” tied to oil and the Strait of Hormuz. He suggested this signaled Tehran was willing to deal.

Reporters asked if the gift was a ship carrying two million barrels of oil. Leavitt neither confirmed nor denied that account.

Military posture and funding

The U.S. is deploying thousands more Marines to the Middle East. The Pentagon seeks roughly $200 billion in supplemental funding.

Leavitt referenced a four-to-six-week timeline for the operation. She said the U.S. is ahead of schedule on Operation Epic Fury.

She added that core objectives are close to being met and that the mission continues unabated.

Regime change and leadership questions

Trump declared regime change in Iran, citing strikes that killed senior leaders. Leavitt said it is too soon to judge new leaders.

The administration continues a dual approach. It pursues diplomatic options while maintaining military readiness.
