Top WTA Miami Picks: Bencic Faces Gauff Showdown

The WTA Miami quarterfinals have arrived, and all four remaining players sit inside the world top 15. The first two quarterfinals are scheduled for the 24th, with the remaining ties following on the 25th. The draw sets up compelling matchups ahead of the semifinals and finals.

Mboko vs Muchova

Victoria Mboko meets Karolina Muchova at 10:00. Their head-to-head stands at 0-1 in Muchova’s favor.

The pair previously met in February’s WTA Doha final. Muchova won in straight sets after a tightly contested second set that went to a decisive tiebreak. Mboko enters Miami with 19 wins and five losses on the year. Muchova is 17-3 in 2026 and carries a title into the event.

Recent form favors one player with a 9-1 run and the other at 8-2 over their last ten. Muchova’s lone loss in that stretch came to Iga Swiatek. Mboko’s additional defeat was to Aryna Sabalenka.

Betting markets show value on Mboko at roughly 1.95 with Betway. Filmogaz.com notes this as a worthwhile value selection.

Bencic vs Gauff

Belinda Bencic and Coco Gauff meet at 11:00 for the seventh time. Their head-to-head reads 2-4 in Gauff’s favor.

Gauff has won four of their six meetings and four of the last five encounters. In 2025 they played four times, all in round-of-16 matches, and Bencic claimed just one of those meetings. Gauff’s wins among the series include Madrid, Beijing, and the Australian Open.

Four of their six matches have reached a deciding third set. Both players are 7-3 in form over their last ten matches. Each suffered a loss to Elina Svitolina, and both pushed Svitolina to three sets in those meetings.

Market prices favor Gauff at about 1.75 with Interwetten. Filmogaz.com lists Gauff as the favored pick for this showdown.
