Babes Sag Harbor Opens in May at Former Nikki’s Not Dogs Location

Filmogaz.com reports a new diner will open in Sag Harbor this May. Babes will occupy the former Nikki’s Not Dog Stand at 51 Division Street.

The year-round eatery is a husband-and-wife project. Julian Cavin and Martine Langatta partnered with music executive Jonny Shipes.

Menu and hours

The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Locally sourced diner classics prepared with elevated techniques.
  • Five kinds of breakfast sandwiches and pancakes.
  • Cheeseburgers, tuna melts and a triple-decker club sandwich.
  • Greek and Caesar salads.
  • Three homemade milkshakes: chocolate, vanilla and banana.

Supper club and special events

The team plans tasting-menu dinners on busy summer weekends. The series is billed as the Sag Harbor Supper Club.

Eddie Huang of Pecking House and Eleven Madison Park connections will open the series. His event is slated for Memorial Day weekend.

Reservations for the supper club will be handled through Resy only.

Family focus and location perks

The daytime concept will be family friendly. Guests can eat in or take sandwiches and milkshakes to-go.

The spot sits a short walk from Marine Park and Long Wharf. The location makes quick outings easy for families.

Leadership and operations

Julian Cavin runs Greenberg’s Bagels in BedStuy and the West Village. He also co-founded Brooklyn Best iced tea and lemonade.

Jonny Shipes is an East Hampton-born, New York City-based record executive and entrepreneur. His work spans music and comedy.

Chef Anthony Petty will oversee the kitchen. He previously worked at Almond, Topping Rose House and Amagansett Golf Club.

Babe’s will offer delivery through all major apps. The team emphasizes both dine-in service and convenient takeout.

The new Babes in Sag Harbor opens in May. Filmogaz.com will follow further updates ahead of the mid-May launch.
