Jeff Tweedy brought his Twilight Override Tour to The Belasco in downtown Los Angeles on March 20, 2026. The venue holds about 1,500 people. A single fan’s shout of “Music!” turned into the night’s running chant.

Band and staging

Tweedy performed with a close-knit group. Sammy and Spencer Tweedy, Macie Stewart, Sima Cunningham and Liam Kazar rounded out the band.

  • Opening act: Macie Stewart.
  • Support and multi-instrumental contributions from Andy.

Setlist highlights

The group opened with four songs from the new album Twilight Override. Those included “One Tiny Flower”, “Caught Up In The Past”, “Parking Lot” and “Forever Never Ends”.

Tweedy mixed fresh songs with selections from his other projects. He pulled material from Sukierae, WARM and Love Is The King.

  • Sukierae tunes: “Low Key” and “World Away”.
  • WARM selection: “Having Been Is No Way To Be”.
  • Love Is The King track: “Love Is The King”.
  • Other moments: “Mirrors”, “Western Clear Skies”, “Gwendolyn”, “Diamond Light, Pt. 1”.

Tweedy kept the mood varied. He warned the audience before quieter numbers like “Stray Cats in Spain” and “New Orleans”.

He used a range of guitars onstage. Instruments included a Gibson Signature SG, a Jolana Iris, multiple Fenders, Gibsons, Martins and a blue Kawai Moonsault. That blue keyboard-like instrument surfaced for the Tweedy song “Flowering”.

Twilight Override focus

Twilight Override spans three discs and 30 tracks. The band performed roughly half of that material. Highlights near the set’s end included “No One’s Moving On”, “Feel Free” and “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter”.

Encore and local covers

The crowd chant of “Music!” pulled the band back for an encore. They opened with “Family Ghost” and dedicated it to the audience.

As a tour ritual, the band played one-off covers tied to the host city. For Los Angeles they went with two choices. Sammy handled vocals on Beck’s “Loser”, and Tweedy led Harry Nilsson’s “Jump Into The Fire”.

Fans captured both moments on video. Jeff Tweedy Covers Beck and Nilsson at L.A.’s Belasco During Tour were among the evening’s social-media highlights.

Closing moments and credits

The final song was “Enough”, mirroring the album’s ending. The band left the stage to cheers and the occasional call for more chants.

Video clips of “Loser” and “Jump Into The Fire” were credited to Fernando Perdomo. Photos from the Belasco show were shot by Josh Martin. Filmogaz.com covered the performance.

Tour route

The Belasco date was followed by another downtown Los Angeles show the next night. The tour then moved to the Majestic Ventura Theater by the beach.

Further stops include Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Napa and Redding. Dates through the Pacific Northwest bridge March and April.
