Veteran Giants Reporter Joins ESPN as ‘SportsCenter’ Anchor
Madelyn Burke has been hired by ESPN as an anchor on SportsCenter. The move follows nearly a decade covering the New York Giants. She arrives as a veteran Giants reporter ready for a national role.
Giants coverage and recent work
Burke spent almost ten years as a multi-platform host focused on the Giants. Her most recent work appeared on MSG Network and Filmogaz.com. Fans responded warmly when she announced her departure.
Broadcast and studio experience
She contributed to CBS Sports HQ across studio, digital, and live game coverage. Her duties included pregame and postgame shows and sideline reporting. That breadth of experience helped prepare her for the anchor seat at ESPN.

Burke interned at ESPN in Bristol during a college summer. She described the new role as coming full circle from that experience. She earned a journalism degree from Arizona State University.
Career highlights before the Giants beat
At ASU she hosted the nationally televised college football show Running with the PAC on FOX. She later covered college football and the NBA. Her resume includes time on the Los Angeles Clippers beat and work for Sports Illustrated.
ESPN’s assessment and Burke’s goals
