Five Huskies Clinch NABC All-District Awards
The NABC announced the Mid-Atlantic All-District teams on Tuesday, March 17, in Kansas City.
Four UConn players made the First Team. A fifth Husky earned Second Team honors.

Solo Ball, Silas Demary Jr., Alex Karaban and Tarris Reed Jr. were named to the First Team.
All selections were voted on by NABC-member coaches across Division I.
UConn’s four First Team honorees were the most of any program in the country.
The five total honorees also led Division I. The four First Team Huskies were earlier named All-BIG EAST.
Player statistics and conference recognition
- Silas Demary Jr. averaged 10.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He was a First Team All-Conference pick.
- Alex Karaban averaged 12.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He was a First Team All-Conference selection.
- Tarris Reed Jr. averaged 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He added 2.3 assists and 2.1 blocks, and shot 62.5 percent from the field. Reed Jr. was a First Team All-Conference pick.
- Solo Ball averaged 13.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He made 2.1 three-pointers per game. Ball was a Second Team All-Conference selection.
- Braylon Mullins averaged 12.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He made 2.2 three-pointers per game. Mullins was a unanimous All-Freshman Team selection.
Conference milestone
UConn became the first team in league history with three First Team conference picks.
The milestone was reached through the league coaches’ All-BIG EAST ballots earlier this month.
NCAA Tournament outlook
UConn returns to action Friday in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Huskies are the two-seed in the East Regional. They will face 15-seed Furman in Philadelphia in late-night action.
