Disney+ Now Included for Millions of Sky Customers

Disney+ Now Included for Millions of Sky Customers

Sky has started rolling Disney+ into eligible TV subscriptions. Customers no longer need a separate Disney+ sign-up or bill.

The change aligns with Sky’s wider streaming bundle. Disney+ Now Included for Millions of Sky Customers is the main consumer-facing result.

Who qualifies and what is included

Eligible accounts include Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers on Ultimate TV. Most Sky Q customers also qualify.

Sky Essential TV customers who subscribe to Sky Cinema are included too. The inclusion gives Disney+ Standard with Ads at no extra cost.

What the Disney+ inclusion covers

The ad-supported Disney+ tier is valued at £5.99 per month. It delivers the platform’s full library.

Available content spans Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney animation, National Geographic, FX titles, and Hulu originals.

How the Sky bundle sits on price and timing

Sky plans to bundle Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max and Hayu into one Sky TV subscription. Sky’s own channels remain part of the package.

New Ultimate TV customers can get the bundle from £24 per month on a 24-month contract. Sky currently advertises an introductory £22 rate until April 1.

  • Disney+ Standard with Ads: £5.99
  • Netflix Standard with Ads: £5.99
  • HBO Max Basic with Ads: £4.99
  • Hayu: £6.49

Those individual prices add up to more than £23 per month. Sky argues the bundle offers clear value, at the cost of longer-term commitment.

Disney+ went live for eligible Sky customers first. HBO Max follows on March 26. Hayu will roll out from July.

Options for existing Disney+ subscribers

Current Disney+ customers may move billing to Sky. Profiles and watch history can be retained during the transfer.

Monthly subscribers will see direct Disney+ billing paused after activation. Annual subscribers will be cancelled and refunded pro rata.

Subscribers with an Extra Member add-on on monthly plans must cancel that add-on separately. Otherwise, charges may continue.

Third-party Disney+ subscriptions remain untouched by Sky activation. Users should cancel those separately to avoid duplicate charges.

How to activate Disney+ on Sky

On a Sky device, open the Disney+ app to create or link an account. Sky Q users can follow the activation link on the homepage.

Users should choose “Continue with Sky email” or “Use a different email” if account emails differ. Voice command “Get Disney+” also works.

On web or mobile, visit sky.com/disneyplus-activate. Select Disney+ under the TV section and pick “Activate now.”

Using an existing MyDisney login preserves profiles and viewing history. Selecting the correct email prevents duplicate accounts.

New integrations and Sky-only features

Sky has integrated Disney+ into its interface. Continue Watching now syncs across Sky Stream and Sky Glass devices.

Disney+ content appears in Sky Q’s Today’s Top Picks. Voice search will surface Disney+ titles alongside other apps.

Disney+ Cinema channel

Sky Cinema subscribers gain a new Disney+ Cinema channel on EPG 305. The channel launches with roughly 50 films.

Titles at launch include Iron Man, Deadpool and Wolverine, Alien: Romulus, Finding Nemo and Up. New additions will arrive weekly.

The channel is available on Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream.

Selected Disney+ series will also air on Sky Atlantic, Sky One and Sky Witness. Examples include Andor, The Bear, and Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

Implications for NOW subscribers

NOW Entertainment subscribers will be upgraded to NOW Entertainment & HBO Max at no extra cost on March 26. That upgrade arrives automatically.

NOW customers do not receive Disney+ as part of their package. Disney+ inclusion remains reserved for Sky TV subscribers.

The Disney+ Cinema channel on EPG 305 is Sky-only. NOW Cinema subscribers will not have access to that channel.

However, NOW users can still watch Disney+ shows that air on Sky’s linear channels via live and catch-up services.

Why Disney shifted strategy

Disney launched Disney+ in the UK in 2020 and closed three children’s linear channels then. Those channels were Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Jr.

Disney Jr returned to Sky as a paid linear channel in November 2025. A content-sharing agreement with ITVX also placed some Disney+ shows on a free platform.

Growth has slowed for streaming services industry-wide. Rising prices and fierce competition prompted Disney to seek distribution partnerships.

Bundling Disney+ into Sky exposes the service to millions of existing customers, even via an ad-supported tier.
