Rockfall Partially Blocks Conde Carvalhal
Volunteer firefighters from Madeira responded this afternoon to a rockfall on Estrada Conde de Carvalhal in Funchal. They were called after stones fell onto the carriageway and partially blocked the route.
Emergency response
The fire service received the alert at 16:48. A single vehicle and two crew members were dispatched to the scene.
Operations and clearance
Crews removed the fallen rocks and cleared the roadway. They succeeded in reopening the route to traffic soon after arrival.
