BTS’ RM Injured; Limited Movement Expected at Gwanghwamun Performance
BTS’ leader RM was hurt during a rehearsal two days before the group’s comeback show. The injury occurred on March 19 while preparing for the March 21 event.
Medical findings and treatment
BigHit Music said medical tests found multiple issues in RM’s right ankle. Doctors reported a sprain of the accessory navicular bone, a partial ligament tear, and a contusion of the talus. Medical staff advised a leg cast and strict movement restriction for at least two weeks.
Effect on the Gwanghwamun performance
Because the Gwanghwamun performance is highly symbolic, RM wanted to perform fully. After consulting physicians, the label and artist chose caution instead. Limited movement is expected at the Gwanghwamun performance, and RM will refrain from full choreography.
Stage participation and plans
RM will still appear on stage to the extent his condition allows. He aims to connect with ARMY and the audience despite restrictions. The company emphasized that health and full recovery remain the top priorities.
Support and next steps
BigHit Music said other BTS members continue preparing for the comeback live. The label pledged full support for RM’s rehabilitation. Fans are asked for understanding as the team balances performance expectations and medical guidance.
