Amazon Prime Video has given a limited series the green light with Kristen Stewart set to portray astronaut Sally Ride. The project draws on Meredith E. Bagby’s book The New Guys and was first reported in June 2024. Production partners include Amblin Television and Big Swing Productions.

Maggie Cohn will create the series and serve as showrunner and executive producer. Kyra Sedgwick and Valerie Stadler executive produce for Big Swing, where development began in 2017.
