Dennis Condrey, Midnight Express Founding Member, Dies at 70
Dennis Condrey, a founding member of the Midnight Express tag team, has died. Dax Harwood announced the news on social media and said Condrey was 74.

Career and the Midnight Express
Condrey helped form the original Midnight Express in 1980. The team included Randy Rose and Norvell Austin.
In 1983 he moved to Mid-South Wrestling. There he created a new Midnight Express with Bobby Eaton and Jim Cornette as manager.
Territories and feuds
The Eaton-Cornette-Condrey version worked Mid-South, WCCW, and Jim Crockett Promotions. They became one of the era’s top tag teams.
Condrey left Crockett in 1987 and later reunited with Randy Rose in the AWA. In 1988 they joined the new WCW with Paul E. Dangerously managing them.
The WCW run included a heated program against Cornette, Eaton, and Stan Lane. Condrey exited WCW in early 1989 amid booking and ownership changes.
