Juventus Pursue Napoli’s Spinazzola in Strategic Move
Filmogaz.com reports that Juventus have made initial contact about a possible return for a player born in 1993. Club officials opened talks as they consider squad reinforcement ahead of the summer window.
Early years and first Juventus spell
The player featured for Juventus between 2010 and 2012 in the Primavera setup. He was part of the squad that won the Viareggio Tournament.
He returned to the first team in 2018/19. That season he made 12 appearances and assisted Cristiano Ronaldo in a 1-1 derby draw with Torino.
Transfer to Roma and achievements
He moved to Roma in an exchange worth €6.7 million plus Luca Pellegrini, who is now at Lazio. The defender spent five seasons with the Giallorossi.
At Roma he recorded 151 appearances, seven goals and 21 assists. He also lifted the UEFA Conference League during his time there.
Napoli move and current status
In summer 2024 he joined Napoli on a free transfer. He has since featured 65 times, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
With Napoli he added another Serie A title and an Italian Super Cup to his honours. His contract runs until June and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has not yet offered a renewal.
International record
He has 26 caps for the senior national team. He provided seven assists and was part of the squad that won the 2021 European Championship.
Juventus interest and implications
Juventus appear ready to pursue Spinazzola as part of a strategic move to bolster depth at left-back. The club’s management have re-established contact to gauge the player’s availability.
A return would reunite him with the black-and-white shirt and add experienced cover on the flank. Negotiations will likely accelerate if Napoli do not offer a new contract before June.
