Couple Arrested Attempting Entry at Faslane Naval Base
Police Scotland said two people were detained after they tried to gain access to HM Naval Base Clyde at Faslane. The attempt happened at around 5pm on Thursday.

A 34-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident. Police confirmed enquiries are ongoing.
According to the PA news agency, the man is Iranian. A Navy spokesperson said the attempt to enter the base was unsuccessful.
