Tufts Baseball Secures 9-4 Victory Over Roger Williams Despite Late Threat
Medford, Mass. — Tufts Baseball picked up a 9-4 win over Roger Williams at Sol Gittleman Park on March 19, 2026. The Jumbos held off a late Hawks threat to secure the result.
Standout performances
Jack Kamin went 4-for-5 and homered. His bat keyed Tufts’ offense throughout the game.
Michael O’Brien worked 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs and nine hits. Mitchell Hwang earned the win, throwing 2.1 scoreless innings to move to 2-0.
Game flow and scoring
Tufts struck early in the second inning. Tyler Wong doubled and Max Pavlik scored on an errant throw to the plate.
A wild pitch later in the inning allowed Malcolm Whitfield to score. Kamin added a run with a single in the same frame.
In the fifth, Kamin homered over the left-field wall. Pavlik later plated a run with a sacrifice fly.
Roger Williams answered in the sixth. Elvin Espinal drove in Will Florio, and Casey DeLorenzo delivered a run-scoring single.
