Stalker Sentenced for Mailing Air Gun, Handcuffs to Radio Host Myleene Klass
Peter Windsor, 61, has been ordered to hospital indefinitely after being convicted of stalking two Classic FM presenters. The offences included sending an imitation air pistol, handcuffs, a police uniform and unwanted letters.
The attacks targeted radio host Myleene Klass and her colleague Katie Breathwick. Items were posted to Classic FM’s central London studios between March 2020 and August 2024.
Court findings and sentence
Windsor, of Mary Road in Stechford, Birmingham, was found guilty of stalking both women. He denied the charges and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Judge Tom Rochford ordered an indefinite hospital order. He also imposed a restraining order preventing Windsor from contacting the victims until further order.
The judge said Windsor’s paranoid schizophrenia was central to his offending. He added each message or item had been sent deliberately and caused rising harm.
Evidence from victims
Myleene Klass told the court she felt extreme terror after learning packages had been sent in her name. Royal Mail intercepted an air pistol addressed to her.
A police officer warned the weapon could be fatal at close range. Klass described being deeply shocked when made aware of the item.
Katie Breathwick gave evidence about numerous notes and gifts. She said Windsor sent handwritten letters, binoculars, perfume, running shoes and details of a DIY will-writing kit.
Breathwick told jurors she had alerted Klass after receiving around 100 notes and items. Windsor had written a note calling Klass a “naughty vixen”. He also sent a letter proposing a paddling trip with champagne.
Items sent

Legal context and remarks
The trial included evidence given at Birmingham Crown Court on 1 October. Neither victim attended Coventry Crown Court for the sentencing hearing.
The judge concluded that hospital treatment was the most appropriate disposal. He noted Windsor’s mental health issues were a significant factor in the offending.
