DIRECTV App Launches Sports Central on iPhone and iPad
DIRECTV has expanded its live sports hub to iOS devices. The company rolled the Sports Central experience into its iPhone and iPad app this week.
Update and availability
The updated app is available now on the App Store. Users should open the App Store and tap Update to install the latest version.
After installing, subscribers can access the hub directly from the app. Tap the “Sports” icon in the navigation bar to begin.

The release brings the Sports Central hub from DIRECTV set-top software to mobile devices. It includes multiple tools for discovering and managing live sports.

Multiview and event viewing
DIRECTV also introduced new multiview configurations. The March Madness Mix options let viewers watch multiple games on one screen.
Promotions and pricing
The company is running a promotion through April 23. The Sports Pack is free for one month when added through the CHOICE package.
