He completed 65.1% of his passes for 1,216 yards. Wentz threw six touchdowns and five interceptions during those starts.
Wentz played through a shoulder dislocation before the injury ended his season. Minnesota still opted to bring him back for 2026.
Career snapshot
Wentz was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He rose quickly and posted an 11-2 mark across 13 starts in 2017.
He finished third in MVP voting that season. Philadelphia replaced him with Jalen Hurts late in 2020.
