March on Water Street Shines with March Madness, Mini Golf, and Book Fair
Spring brings longer days and warmer nights to Tampa. March turns Water Street Tampa into a lively event hub.
March Madness arrives downtown
Benchmark International Arena will host NCAA men’s tournament first and second round games. Games are scheduled for March 20 and March 22.
Fans can expect lively downtown energy and visiting supporters. Not everyone wants arena tickets.
Nearby spots like Yard House and 3 Corners Pizza offer many TVs and food. Sparkman Wharf’s open-air dining also draws crowds during big games.
Glow Putt Putt lights up Sparkman Wharf
Sparkman Wharf and Raybon Plaza will host Glow Putt Putt on March 20 and 21. The pop-up runs nightly from 6 to 10 pm.
Admission costs $10 and includes a nine-hole round. Neon lights and glowing obstacles create a vibrant after-dark course.
This mini golf experience pairs perfectly with March Madness weekend. Visitors can mix friendly competition with basketball excitement nearby.
Cover to Cover outdoor book fair
Cover to Cover returns for its second year on Water Street. The fair takes place Wednesday, March 25, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.
Admission is free for all attendees. The event features author talks, panels, readings, and signings.
Visitors may donate used books during the fair. Leftover books will be given to Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County, Inc.
Those donations support local literacy and library programs. The book fair is a community-minded evening.
Taste of Water Street heads into April
Taste of Water Street is scheduled for April 16, from 5:30 to 9 pm. More than 25 chefs and restaurants will offer tastings.
Tickets cost $100 per person and include access to all tastings. A portion of proceeds benefits Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay.
Guests must be 21 or older and select a 30-minute entry time slot when purchasing. The event showcases the city’s culinary scene.
