Producers of the BBC travel competition have opened a casting call aimed at Wales. Fin Gough and Sioned Cray, from Nantgaredig in Carmarthenshire, finished third in the last series.

Studio Lambert runs the show for the BBC. Mother and son duo Caroline and Tom won the fifth series.

About the show

The format sends paired teams across long distances on a tight budget. Contestants must travel with no technology or modern navigation aids.

Recent routes included a start on the Great Wall of China and a finish at the southern tip of India. A previous season began in the UK and ended in Cambodia.

Casting details and eligibility

  • You must apply as a duo.
  • Each team member must be at least 18 years old.
  • Applicants must be legal UK residents throughout the application process.
  • Chosen participants must hold a passport valid until at least July 31, 2027.
  • Candidates must be able to travel to all locations specified by production.
  • Availability for up to eight weeks is required, currently expected between September and December 2026.
  • Current or former employees, or immediate relatives of employees, of Studio Lambert, All3media Group, or the BBC are ineligible.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, March 29. Interested pairs should submit promptly to meet the deadline.
