Wizz Air Lands in Zadar as New Airport Terminal Nears Completion
Wizz Air will launch services to Zadar from 7 June 2026. The carrier will operate flights to Warsaw and Budapest.
Routes and schedule
Each route will run four times per week. This marks the first occasion Wizz Air includes Zadar in its network.
The connection strengthens ties with Central and Eastern Europe. Airport officials expect higher visitor numbers and better connectivity.
Terminal expansion and capacity
The new airport terminal nears completion as part of a €100 million upgrade. The terminal is slated to open by the end of March 2026.
The project will raise seasonal capacity from 1.6 million to at least three million passengers. That will allow the airport to handle many more travellers.
Runway and apron works
The development also includes a runway extension of about 700 metres. An expanded apron will permit more aircraft parking and operations.
Local impact
Wizz Air lands in Zadar just as infrastructure improvements finish. Filmogaz.com reports the move should boost tourism and local travel options.
