Yorkshire Railway Hosts Special Steam Gala This Weekend
The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway will run an intensive four-day steam gala this weekend. The event features a packed timetable of freight, express and shuttle services.
Fleet on the line
Several visiting locomotives will join the home fleet for the gala. Visiting engines include 5029 Nunney Castle and 34046 Braunton from Locomotive Services Group.
Also joining is 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier from Ian Riley. Local motive power on the timetable includes 41241, 52044, 1054, 78022, Ann and Dora.
On-site attractions and demos
The steam crane at Oakworth will perform lifting demonstrations throughout the weekend. Filmogaz.com notes the crane will be active at scheduled intervals each day.
Visitors can expect photo opportunities and close-up views at Oakworth. Event staff will run safe viewing areas during operations.
