The committee awarded the Africa Cup of Nations final to Morocco by a 3-0 result. Senegal had originally won the match 1-0 after extra time on January 18.

The Moroccan Football Federation lodged an appeal with CAF. The Appeal Committee accepted the protest and applied the disqualification ruling.
