Appleby Starts In Scotland U20 Six Nations Finale

Archie Appleby has been handed a first Scotland U20 start at blindside flanker for the U20 Six Nations finale against Ireland, with Head Coach Fergus Pringle making three changes to the side for the final round. The match is scheduled for Sunday, 15 March, kick-off 3: 15 pm ET at Virgin Media Park.

Appleby Given First Start After Two Bench Appearances

Appleby, who has made two appearances from the bench so far in the tournament against Wales and France, moves into the starting back row at blindside flanker. The selection hands him his first Scotland U20 start in the competition as Pringle adjusts the pack for the final fixture.

Three Changes For The Scotland Side

Pringle named three changes to the starting XV for the final round. Jack Utterson returns from injury to reclaim the openside flanker role he occupied in the first two rounds. Jamie Stewart shifts into the tighthead prop position after featuring at loosehead for the past three weeks. The third change is Appleby’s promotion into the starting back row. Joe Roberts will captain the side.
