Pickford Wins Record Fourth Coca-Cola Save of the Month Award As Jordan Pickford Is Recognised

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has made history after winning the February Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for his last-gasp stop in the Toffees’ 3-2 win away to Newcastle United.

The Save That Won February’s Award

With the match drifting into the fourth minute of stoppage time and Newcastle poised to level, Sandro Tonali connected with a sweet volley that looked destined for the net. Jordan Pickford reacted brilliantly, pushing the ball onto the crossbar and out for a corner, preserving Everton’s 3-2 victory and celebrating in typically passionate fashion.

Jordan Pickford described the intervention as “It’s a worldie!” on Everton’s website after receiving the award, adding that hard work on the training ground makes moments like that possible. He also said it was a massive game and that he would always take the three points if he could help the team get a result.

The February accolade was decided by a combination of public votes and a panel of experts, with Jordan Pickford topping a shortlist of six goalkeepers who produced superb stops across the month.

Shortlist of monthly winners cited with the award:

  • August: James Trafford (Man City)
  • September: Gianluigi Donnarumma (Man City)
  • October: Martin Dubravka (Burnley)
  • November: Jordan Pickford (Everton)
  • December: David Raya (Arsenal)
  • January: Alphonse Areola (West Ham)
  • February: Jordan Pickford (Everton)

Jordan Pickford’s Record And Season Form

Jordan Pickford has now claimed the Save of the Month award more times than any other goalkeeper, with previous wins in September 2022, January 2024 and November 2025. That tally puts him ahead of Andre Onana and David Raya, who each have three wins.

This season Jordan Pickford has kept 10 clean sheets in 29 Premier League appearances and has conceded an average of 1. 1 goals per game. He has also saved one of the three penalties he has faced and has produced several standout stops, the best of which came in the 3-2 win at Newcastle on 28 February.

Everton announced the award on their official social platforms, with Jordan Pickford pictured smiling while holding the trophy. Jack Grealish was among those to react and like the club’s post, alongside teammates Dwight McNeil and James Tarkowski.

Jordan Pickford is set to start Everton’s clash with Arsenal on Saturday, and supporters will be hoping he can produce more match-winning moments. Another clean sheet would see Jordan Pickford close in on an Everton record long held by Neville Southall and Tim Howard.

Looking ahead, the February award cements Jordan Pickford’s impact this season and adds a milestone to a campaign in which his saves have directly preserved crucial points for Everton.
