Sophomore Album I Hope This Helps Set For May 29

Springsteen has slated her second album, I Hope This Helps, for release on May 29 through Santa Anna Nashville. Alongside the announcement she released a new track titled “Black Sheep, ” described as a triumphant, windows-down anthem of self-acceptance.

On “Black Sheep, ” Springsteen reflected on how her relationship with the idea of outsiderhood has changed: “If I had written ‘black sheep’ two years ago it would have been an insecure, timid plea to be understood… Instead, the version you hear embodies the confidence that healing has brought me. ” She said she wears the title proudly and hopes the song helps listeners who have felt misunderstood.

The album follows her debut Twenty Something and expands into a deeper, more personal record. Springsteen co-wrote and co-produced all 16 tracks, and contributed guitar and piano throughout.
