Filming Pushed Back — Cast Has Not Received Scripts Yet
The most recent update from inside the production is not encouraging for fans hoping for an early announcement. Michelle Randolph confirmed she has not yet received scripts for Landman Season 3 and does not know when filming will begin.
Co-creator Christian Wallace confirmed filming will begin in May 2026, later than both previous seasons. Season 1 kicked off production in February 2024, and Season 2 began in March 2025. The delay is tied directly to the brutal Texas heat. Wallace explained that filming in 100-plus degree weather is no joke for a show with as many exteriors as Landman, and called it the big struggle from a production standpoint every season.

Tommy Norris was fired from his leadership role at M-Tex Oil, creating massive narrative potential for a comeback story.
