Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos have called off their engagement just one month before they were set to marry. The shocking split came in the days following their joint bachelor-bachelorette party in the Bahamas and sent shockwaves across the NFL world and beyond.

The Breakup: What Happened in the Bahamas

The relationship had been rocky behind the scenes for months, but things came to a head with a blowup argument at their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties — and Sarah Jane called it off.

However, Sarah Jane's representative pushed back on the blowup narrative. Her rep told People in a statement that there was no rockiness in the lead-up, no big argument, and that it was a mutual decision. Both Prescott and Ramos are described as heartbroken that they are not getting married.

Just days before the news broke, Sarah Jane shared photos from her bachelorette party, captioning the post that she truly believes you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends.

The Email Sent to 250 Wedding Guests

The couple notified approximately 250 guests by email, writing: "As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday April 10, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers."

The Italy destination wedding was set to be a lavish ceremony along one of Europe's most iconic stretches of coastline, making the last-minute cancellation particularly jarring for guests who had already made travel arrangements.

Sarah Jane Ramos Shuts Down Prenup Rumors

Social media quickly filled with speculation that a prenup dispute triggered the split. Sources confirm that the breakup had nothing to do with money, and that Sarah Jane comes from a well-off family with deep roots in Tampa, Florida. She has also done well for herself as a wine and spirits specialist, so their relationship was never about Prescott's NFL salary.

Ramos directly addressed the rumors herself, commenting publicly that the split had nothing to do with a prenup and expressing hope that the rumor could be put to rest.

Infidelity Allegations Surface

A more serious claim entered the conversation days after the initial breakup news. Page Six released a report citing a source who said Ramos called off the wedding because of ongoing infidelity issues, with the report noting that Prescott has a history of communicating with other women throughout their relationship, but that Ramos had stayed with him because she believed he could change. Neither Prescott nor Ramos has confirmed or directly addressed those allegations.

Co-Parenting Two Daughters Remains the Priority

Prescott and Ramos share two daughters together — a 2-year-old and a 10-month-old named Aurora Rayne, who was born on May 22.

Their rep confirmed that both love their girls deeply and are committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way possible, asking for privacy while they sort everything out.

With the breakup occurring in March 2026, the couple had been engaged for one year and five months. Prescott proposed in October 2024. Dak Prescott has not yet made a public statement of his own.
