Landman Season 3: November 2026 Premiere Target Set as Filming Moves to May in Fort Worth
Paramount+ is sticking with its annual Landman playbook — but this year, the Texas heat is arriving early on the calendar, and one major character cliffhanger is hanging over the entire production heading into Season 3.
Landman Season 3 Confirmed, Production Set for May
Paramount+ gave Landman its Season 3 order in December 2025, after the first couple of episodes of Season 2 earned record viewership for the streamer. The renewal was never really in doubt.
The Season 2 premiere drew over 9 million streams — nearly triple the Season 1 debut figure. That kind of growth on a streaming platform does not get met with hesitation. Paramount moved fast.
Co-creator Christian Wallace confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Landman will begin filming Season 3 in May 2026 in Fort Worth — noticeably later than the February 2024 start for Season 1 and the March 2025 kickoff for Season 2. The delay is logistical, not creative.
"We are a little bit later than we were the last two seasons, but that only matters for us because of the heat in Texas," Wallace said. "Twelve-hour days in 100-plus degree weather is no joke. But that is our cross to bear, not the audiences'."
Release Date and Episode Count
No official premiere date has been set. Both Season 1 and Season 2 began streaming in mid-November of their respective years, with the final episode releasing in mid-January of the following year. Wallace told THR the production is planning to stick to that schedule.
The 10-episode third season is expected to arrive November 2026 on Paramount+, continuing the annual release cycle that has made Landman unusual among streaming dramas. A May filming start with a November premiere would mirror Season 2's roughly seven-month production-to-air timeline almost exactly.
Where Season 2 Left Tommy Norris
The setup for Season 3 is unusually clean — and unusually combustible. Tommy convinces a large contingent of M-Tex staffers to follow him out the door, leaving Cami in an awkward position as Season 3 looms and turning her into a new foil for the CTT operation.
Season 3 will center on the problems of standing up CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, Tommy's new company. He and Nathan also promised Cami they would sell M-Tex for her — a promise that now exists inside a relationship that has curdled into bitter rancor.
Cooper's storyline arrives with legal weight. He faces potential murder charges after severely beating a man who assaulted Ariana — the man later died in the hospital, and it took serious legal maneuvering to keep Cooper free. Season 3 picks up that thread.
Cast Returning — and One Key Question Mark
Billy Bob Thornton returns as Tommy Norris, with Demi Moore back as Cami Miller, Ali Larter as Angela, Michelle Randolph as Ainsley, Jacob Lofland as Cooper, and Andy Garcia continuing as Gallino in a series regular role. Sam Elliott returns as Tommy's father T.L.
Thornton personally shut down departure rumors. "Some stupid AI thing came out where it wasn't me at all," he told USA Today. "I'll be there. We're making another season."
With Taylor Sheridan's deal with Paramount set to expire before a transition to NBCUniversal in 2029, Paramount+ has every incentive to keep Landman rolling as fast and as frequently as Sheridan's scripts will allow. Season 3 is the machine staying on schedule.
