One Piece Season 2

One Piece: Into the Grand Line dropped two days ago and the Straw Hats have already taken over Netflix. All eight episodes are live, the first reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and Season 3 is already filming. Here's everything to know.

One Piece Live Action Season 2 Is Already Streaming

All episodes of One Piece Season 2 live action are now live on Netflix. The season dropped worldwide on March 10, 2026, with all ten episodes releasing simultaneously rather than on a weekly schedule. If you missed the midnight launch, there is nothing left to wait for — every episode is available right now with any active Netflix subscription.

Netflix also screened the first two episodes in theaters across North America and Japan on March 10, timed to the global premiere, with showings beginning at 6 p.m. local time in the U.S. and Canada across more than 200 theaters.

What Season 2 Covers at TPC Sawgrass — Er, the Grand Line

Season 2 consists of eight episodes adapting much of the Arabasta Saga, including the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs. The season runs a total of 481 minutes — about 30 minutes more than Season 1.

The core Straw Hat crew is fully intact. Iñaki Godoy returns as Monkey D. Luffy alongside Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar. The new additions are substantial. Joe Manganiello plays Mr. 0, David Dastmalchian slides in as Mr. 3, Katey Sagal steps into Dr. Kureha, Charithra Chandran plays Miss Wednesday, and Callum Kerr takes on Smoker.

The most anticipated arrival is Tony Tony Chopper. The beloved reindeer-boy hybrid enters the live-action world as a CGI character, with Mikaela Hoover providing his voice.

Critics Say One Piece Season 2 Improves on Season 1

The first reviews landed ahead of the premiere and the consensus is clear. Critics are calling Season 2 an effective expansion of the story's world, populated by fun characters and infused with infectious energy — with many saying it is bigger, better, and more ambitious than its freshman voyage.

Season 2 compresses some of the original manga's lengthy pacing so audiences can understand characters and looming conflicts more cohesively, while raising the stakes with more ambitious action sequences and political intrigue. One critic noted a minor gripe: the expanded scope and larger character roster mean individual character arcs are not quite as tightly written as in Season 1.

Season 1 posted an 86% Tomatometer and a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Early indicators suggest Season 2 is tracking at or above those marks.

One Piece Season 3 Already in Production

Netflix was not waiting to see how Season 2 landed before committing to the next chapter. The streamer greenlit Season 3 in August 2025, before Season 2 even aired. Filming began in November 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, and Season 3 will complete the Arabasta saga.

Ian Stokes joins Joe Tracz as co-showrunner for Season 3. Co-showrunner Matt Owens stepped down in March 2025 for health reasons, with Tracz carrying post-production on Season 2 solo.

Eiichiro Oda visited the Season 2 set and gave the production his personal approval — a detail that carries weight for the franchise's 516-million-copy manga fanbase. The machine is moving fast, and the Grand Line is just getting started.
