The Trap to Avoid
The Purple category is this puzzle's masterstroke. WEATHER VANE made the bird list because they typically feature a cockerel — though they can also depict dolphins and dragons. The world's largest weather vane has a ship on top. FROOT LOOPS features Toucan Sam. The MEXICAN FLAG carries an eagle. CUCKOO CLOCK — obvious once you see it, invisible until you do.
The Blue group also caused hesitation, specifically around which exercise class belonged where. SWING looked like it fit with SPIN, STEP, and BARRE — but it belongs in Green with the back-and-forth movers. Anyone who locked in SWING as a fitness class lost a guess.
