Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos Cancel Lake Como Wedding: Infidelity Allegations Emerge as the Real Reason Behind the Split
One month out from what was supposed to be a fairy-tale ceremony in Italy, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos are done — and the story behind the breakup keeps getting heavier.
The Bahamas, the Blowup, and the Email
The couple broke up roughly one month before their scheduled wedding, with reports indicating the relationship had been rocky behind the scenes for months before things came to a head during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas.
Prescott and Ramos then sent a cancellation email to the approximately 250 guests who had been invited to the April 10 ceremony at Lake Como. "It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding," the note read. "We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers."
A rep for Ramos pushed back on the blowup narrative. "There wasn't any rockiness in the lead up, and there was no big argument or blow up," the rep told People. "It was a mutual decision."
Infidelity Allegations Surface
The mutual-decision framing didn't hold long. Page Six reported that Ramos accused Prescott of ongoing infidelity issues, with a source claiming she believes he communicated with other women throughout their relationship.
Ramos and Prescott reportedly had a serious conversation about the issue prior to the wedding, only for her to discover he was allegedly using secret social media accounts to send inappropriate messages to multiple women. Prescott has not publicly responded to those allegations.
Ramos is described as "done" with the relationship, now focused entirely on co-parenting their two daughters.
The Prenup Rumor — Killed by Ramos Herself
Before the infidelity reports surfaced, social media ran hard with a different theory: that Ramos had refused to sign a prenuptial agreement. She addressed it directly.
Ramos stepped into the comments of a March 9 Instagram post from the Speakeasy Talk Show, where hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy had been dissecting the speculation. "This had nothing to do with a prenup," she wrote. "I hope we can put that rumor to rest now."
Sources close to the situation backed her up. Ramos comes from a well-off family with deep roots in Tampa, Florida, and has built her own career as a wine and spirits specialist — meaning the relationship was never tied to Prescott's NFL salary, and she was never asked to sign anything.
Two Kids, No Wedding
Prescott and Ramos share two daughters: a 2-year-old and a 10-month-old. The pair went public as a couple in fall 2023. He proposed in October 2024 during the Cowboys bye week, using a fake golf ball to hide the ring — one Ramos nearly swung at before he stopped her. The engagement lasted one year and five months.
Their rep confirmed both are "heartbroken" and committed to raising their children together. "They love their girls, and they're committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way."
Where Things Stand
Prescott, 32, has stayed silent across all platforms since the story broke Saturday. As of March 8, Ramos's Instagram bio still listed her as a "fiancée" — a detail that went unedited even after the cancellation email had already gone out to guests.
Ramos has not elaborated publicly beyond her prenup denial, and the specific topic of the argument that ended the engagement has not been confirmed.
