University Challenges
This resignation follows a series of challenges at Ohio State University, which has around 67,000 students based in Columbus, Ohio. Students and faculty have been vocal about ending ties with alumnus Les Wexner due to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Recently, students participated in a walkout, demanding the removal of Wexner’s name from several campus buildings, including:
- Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Les Wexner Football Complex
- Wexner Center for the Arts
Additionally, an assistant professor from the university was placed on leave after an incident involving a journalist, further complicating the university’s reputation.
