Washington Commanders, Jayden Daniels, and free-agency projections
Washington has also been tied to Shaheed as it looks for additional pass-catching help for quarterback Jayden Daniels. The team re-signed wide receiver Treylon Burks to a one-year deal, but Washington’s front office was still described as looking for more targets as free agency approaches.
Dan Graziano projected the Commanders to land Shaheed in free agency, framing him as a risky deep threat and noting that he did not make much of a mark as a receiver following his trade to the newly crowned Super Bowl champions. Even so, Shaheed’s return ability was emphasized, alongside a projected contract of three years for $40 million with $20 million guaranteed.
The path that would most clearly change the outlook for both Indianapolis and Washington is Pierce’s free-agency decision.
