Orchestral finale for festivalgoers as Pierre Lapointe closes Feq after lineup reveal

Starting July 19, festival attendees at feq will see Pierre Lapointe perform with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec as the closing-night headliner.

At 12: 00 pm ET on 11 March, the festival’s programming reveal named Pierre Lapointe the first announced artist and set the timetable that will drive ticketing and sales moves.

Pierre Lapointe’s closing-night program

Pierre Lapointe will mark the 20th anniversary of his album La forêt des mal-aimés on July 19 at Place George-V, performing with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec.

Feq and the programming reveal

The full FEQ lineup was unveiled at 12: 00 pm ET on 11 March, and that reveal positions Lapointe as the only confirmed artist so far for the festival that runs from July 9 to July 19; the timing of the announcement will govern when passes go on sale to the public.

Orchestre symphonique de Québec collaboration

The July 19 show will revisit La forêt des mal-aimés and include selections from Lapointe’s most recent record, Dix chansons démodées pour ceux qui ont le cœur abîmé, with additional performances planned at the Francos in June and in Joliette in August with another orchestra.

If the programming reveal at 12: 00 pm ET on 11 March holds, public sale of passes will coincide with that announcement, making that midday event the next confirmed milestone that could accelerate ticket sales.
