Apple Tv Brings Exclusive Formula 1 Coverage, 4K and Multiview Features
Apple revealed that starting this weekend apple tv subscribers in the U. S. can watch every practice, qualifying, Sprint session and Grand Prix across the 2026 Formula 1 season. Saturday, March 7 at 11: 00 p. m. ET starts the Australian Grand Prix, and U. S. viewers will get live and on‑demand access on apple tv.
Apple Tv Offers 4K Dolby Vision and 5. 1 Surround Sound
Viewers will be able to watch every Grand Prix with 5. 1 surround sound and, for the first time for F1 viewers, in 4K with Dolby Vision. Apple’s presentation promises comprehensive coverage and analysis alongside expansive programming available to subscribers. Coverage will include both English and Spanish commentary for each event.
Formula 1 Adds Multiview, 30 Live Feeds and Driver Tracker
The platform will provide access to up to 30 additional live feeds across all sessions, including a Driver Tracker feed that offers a bird’s‑eye view of the race and real‑time telemetry and timing. A mixed onboard feed will automatically switch between onboard cameras as the race unfolds, while podium feeds will dynamically follow drivers running in P1, P2, and P3. The Multiview feature lets viewers watch up to four live feeds at once, with one‑tap preconfigured Multiview layouts for every team and options to customise which feeds to follow.
Eddy Cue and Stefano Domenicali Preview U. S. Launch Experience
Apple framed the U. S. launch as a new era for American fans. “This weekend marks the start of a new era for Formula 1 fans in the U. S.,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, adding that Apple aims to deliver an immersive experience designed around fans. Formula 1’s president and CEO, Stefano Domenicali, said welcoming Apple as the sport’s U. S. broadcaster comes at an important moment for the championship and its growing U. S. audience.
Subscribers will also be able to access curated collections of programming covering rule changes, new cars, team updates, the full race calendar, and highlights from last season. In addition to Apple’s coverage, viewers will have access to Sky Sports broadcasts as another way to follow each race weekend.
The FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026 airs Saturday, March 7 at 11: 00 p. m. ET; that session is the confirmed kickoff of live coverage on Apple Tv for U. S. subscribers.
