The Main Event: What Was at Stake

Holloway won the BMF title with his Knockout of the Year finish of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300, then defended it by retiring Dustin Poirier in their trilogy. He entered UFC 326 as the -220 betting favorite. Oliveira, the former UFC Lightweight Champion at +170, came in off a dominant submission win over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Rio in October.

Their first meeting in 2015 lasted just 99 seconds when Oliveira suffered a freak neck injury. Tonight's rematch was booked for five rounds at lightweight — the real battle neither man got to complete a decade ago.

Co-Main Event Context

Caio Borralho entered off his first UFC loss — a title eliminator defeat to Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris. Reinier de Ridder, the former two-weight ONE Championship champion, entered off a loss to Brendan Allen at UFC Vancouver. Both men were fighting to get back into the top-five conversation at middleweight.

UFC 326 Historic First: CBS Broadcast

UFC 326 marked the first UFC broadcast on CBS under the new Paramount Skydance media rights deal, with the network airing the card from 8:00–10:00 p.m. ET before the remainder of the main card — including the main event — shifted exclusively to Paramount+.
