Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos Break Up: Wedding Called Off One Month Before Italy Ceremony
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos have ended their engagement in stunning fashion — just one month before their planned destination wedding in Italy. TMZ Sports broke the news Saturday night, and the internet has not stopped talking since.
What Happened: Bahamas Blowup Ends 16-Month Engagement
The relationship had been rocky behind the scenes for months. Everything came to a head during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas — a trip that was supposed to be a joyful celebration before the biggest day of their lives. A blowup argument during the trip pushed things past the point of no return. Sarah Jane called it off. The wedding is not happening.
The pair were set to marry in Italy in April. As recently as February 23, Ramos had posted on Instagram that she "can't wait to marry the love of my life." Just days ago she was sharing photos from her bachelorette party. Both posts have since been deleted.
The Instagram Caption That Now Reads Differently
Ramos captioned her bachelorette photos with her closest friends: "I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much." In hindsight, that caption reads differently now. The post is gone.
Two Young Daughters, a Cancelled Wedding, a Villa in Italy
The stakes of this breakup go far beyond a cancelled wedding. Prescott and Ramos have two young children together — a 2-year-old and a baby who is nearly 10 months old. TMZ reports the relationship is beyond repair and the focus going forward will be entirely on co-parenting their kids. Two children under the age of three, a wedding that was one month away, a venue in Italy, guests already planning travel — all of it now off the table.
The pair were slated to get married in Italy on April 10, just weeks before the 2026 NFL Draft.
Who Is Sarah Jane Ramos?
Sarah Jane Ramos is from Tampa Bay, Florida. She attended Florida State University, where she studied criminalistics and criminal science. She worked her way through the wine and spirits industry — starting at Marriott Hotels, then moving into roles at Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, Moët Hennessy, and Diageo before returning to Southern Glazers as a distribution manager for the Tampa Bay area.
Ramos and Prescott met when she attended one of his games against the New York Giants. They started dating around September 2023. They had their first child, MJ Rose, in February 2024, and their second daughter Aurora in May 2025.
Dak Prescott's Difficult Year Continues
Last season, Prescott and the Cowboys had a down campaign that saw Jerry Jones' team miss out on the NFL postseason. The signal caller now appears to be going through struggles in his personal life as well. No statement has been released by Prescott, Ramos, or the Dallas Cowboys organization.
Prescott proposed in October 2024, giving them a 16-month engagement that appeared solid right up until the Bahamas trip changed everything. The two will now focus on co-parenting their daughters MJ, 2, and Aurora, nearly 10 months old.
