USWNT Wins 2026

The United States Women's National Team are SheBelieves Cup champions for the eighth time. A brilliant late strike from Alyssa Thompson in the 82nd minute gave the USWNT a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Colombia at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, capping a perfect 3-0-0 tournament under Emma Hayes.

Final Score: USA 1-0 Colombia — Alyssa Thompson Wins It

After a shaky first hour, the USWNT grew into the game as fresh legs entered. They needed until the 81st minute to break through, but Thompson delivered a postage stamp strike that directed into the back of the net off the inside of the top corner.

After the U.S. ran a delicious one-touch counter to get into the attacking third with numbers, Jaedyn Shaw squared it for the young Chelsea winger about 25 yards from goal, and she charged toward the top of the box before unleashing the match-winner.

Lindsey Heaps Was the Turning Point

The turnaround came largely thanks to USWNT captain Lindsey Heaps, who only started one of the three matches in this tournament but was exceptional off the bench tonight. Her introduction gave the Americans the aggression and speed moving forward they were missing throughout the first half.

Where the USWNT Goes From Here

After so much experimentation, how the USWNT will look under Emma Hayes at the 2027 Women's World Cup is becoming increasingly evident. The Americans now turn their focus to summer preparation for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil, where the U.S. will look to reclaim the world title it lost in 2023.
