Production Details
Fox has placed a 12-episode order for the series, which has been in development since winter 2024. Production is set to commence in the spring, with filming locations at Venice Beach and the Fox Studio Lot in Century City.

The original Baywatch premiered in 1989 and was briefly canceled by NBC after just one season. It went on to achieve immense popularity, becoming the most-watched television show globally, reaching over a billion viewers each week at its peak.
Some of today’s biggest stars, including Pamela Anderson and Jason Momoa, launched their careers through the series, which was famously led by David Hasselhoff.
Creative Team behind the Reboot
The new iteration of Baywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle. The showrunner and executive producer is Nix, recognized for his work on Burn Notice and The Gifted. McG will direct the pilot episode, with a team of executive producers that includes Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz.
